Hard Wood Decking
This plantation grown hardwood from Indonesia is
twice as hard as regular Mahogany, with less color variation than other
hardwoods. Red Balau can be
finished to maintain a "furniture look", or allowed to weather to a
silver gray.
- Shipped kiln-dried.
- An extremely dense, tight-grained wood.
Deep red with a minor amount of fine brown lines.
- Surfaced-four-sides. Remains smooth and splinter
free.
- Premium selected heartwood – no knots, no
defects
- Four (4) times harder than Redwood
- Naturally resistant to rot and decay
- Guaranteed for 20 years when installed and
maintained properly
- Virtually maintenance free.
- A reddish-brown wood that will fade to a
weathered gray if left untreated. To
retain the rich color, we recommend a high quality penetrating oil finish
with ultraviolet inhibitors.
- Complementing accessories include balusters,
handrails, posts, timbers, and fascia boards. Fastening systems, UV coating
and end sealant also available.
